Water management

Balancing consumption and use

Water holds a pivotal role as a primary auxiliary material in BADER's tannery operations and respective circulation process. It is crucial to differentiate between water consumption and water use in this context. Water consumption means fresh water, for example, is taken from groundwater, used in production or consumed in the production process, and the remainder is discharged (purified) into a river or similar biotope. Water use means that water is taken, for example, from a river, used in production or used in the  production process, and then purified and returned to the original biotope via the wastewater treatment plant.

To protect the health and safety of our employees, BADER follows internationally recognised occupational health and safety standards, including ISO 45001, supporting the prevention of workplace injuries and occupational illnesses.
