| As part of Milan Design Week, BADER presented its outdoor exhibition “BADER Leather. Reimagined.” at Via Tortona, just outside the Haus of Automotive by Konzepthaus. The exhibition offered visitors an immersive look into the future of surface materials, demonstrating how leather continues to evolve through innovation, sustainability, and new design approaches. Throughout the week, industry professionals, designers, and visitors had the opportunity to explore a curated collection of next-generation material concepts that showcased the versatility and potential of modern leather applications. From bold colour concepts and contemporary aesthetics to more sustainable production methods, the exhibition highlighted how traditional materials can be reinterpreted to meet the demands of future mobility and design. Rather than presenting materials in a conventional display format, the exhibition was designed as an interactive experience. Visitors were encouraged to touch, examine, and engage directly with the materials, gaining a deeper understanding of their unique characteristics, textures, and design possibilities. This hands-on approach reflected BADER’s belief that true material innovation is not only visual but also sensory and experiential. The exhibition demonstrated how advances in material development are creating new opportunities for designers across industries. By combining craftsmanship, technological expertise, and a commitment to sustainability, BADER continues to expand the possibilities of leather as a premium surface material for modern interior concepts. Throughout the event, BADER’s team of experts—including Alexandra Dittrich, Martin Wolf, Ellen Wulf, Gamze Çağrıtekin, and Rodewig Naegele—engaged with visitors in detailed discussions about material trends, design requirements, and future applications. Their insights helped connect innovative surface solutions with real-world challenges and opportunities in transportation, mobility, and interior design. The conversations at Milan Design Week reinforced the growing importance of sustainable material development and user-centred design. Visitors showed particular interest in how innovative production technologies, responsible sourcing, and advanced finishing techniques can contribute to creating more sustainable yet highly desirable products. By participating in one of the world's leading design events, BADER once again demonstrated its commitment to shaping the future of material innovation. The exhibition served as a platform for dialogue, inspiration, and collaboration, bringing together designers, manufacturers, and industry experts to explore the next generation of premium surface materials. For those unable to attend in person, BADER will continue to share insights, impressions, and highlights from the exhibition, offering a closer look at the ideas, innovations, and conversations that defined the week. “BADER Leather. Reimagined.” reflects the company’s vision of making innovation tangible—transforming ideas into experiences and showcasing how tradition, technology, and design can come together to create the materials of tomorrow. |
